The current article deals with the study of the morpho-anatomic comparison of the Pogonatum and Polytrichum genera. In this study, single species of both taxons were collected from multiple specimens collected from different areas and altitudes. Both microscopic and macroscopic features were analyzed for both genera. This study reveals that Pogonatum and Polytrichum are morphologically similar, with some minor differences, but anatomically differ from each other.
